Take advantage of Home Energy Credits before they are gone
Are you considering making energy-efficient home improvements, like new energy-efficient windows or doors? Have you been thinking about installing solar panels or battery storage? If so, now is the time to act.
Congress recently passed a tax and spending bill (commonly called the One Big Beautiful Bill) that repeals the individual residential energy tax breaks enacted under the Inflation Reduction Act. These tax credits are disappearing after 12/31/25. Don’t miss out on a credit of up to 30% for qualified home improvements.
The rules for these tax credits are complex. The home energy credits apply only to certain property: some property may only be installed in your principal residences while other property upgrades are allowed for second residences and rental homes as well. Home improvement projects and installations often require a significant amount of time to complete so you should get started right away.
We would be happy to provide more information about these residential energy credits and talk about how we can help you take advantage of them before they are gone. Please give us a call if you would like to discuss this further.
