A&G Consultants has the resources to provide the best in audit and assurance services to its clients. Our firm has extensive knowledge in the audits of municipalities (school districts, cities, counties and libraries), non-profit organizations, HUD, and private corporations.
Audits are conducted in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America. An audit involves performing procedures to obtain audit evidence about the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements and procedures will be selected based on the auditor’s judgment, including assessing the risk of material misstatements to the financial statements. Auditors also consider internal controls in order to design audit procedures that are appropriate. Based on the audit evidence acquired, an opinion is provided on the fair presentation of the financial statements.
In addition to financial statement audits, A&G Consultants has a large background in performing Employee Benefit Plan Audits as well as compliance audits; audits pursuant to Governmental Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) and OMB Circular A-133 (Single Audits).
Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP)
In an Agreed-Upon Procedure engagement, we collaborate with you to define the exact procedures to be performed—such as testing internal controls, verifying selected transactions, or reviewing compliance with contractual or regulatory requirements. Upon completion, we deliver a clear, objective report of factual findings, giving you and your stakeholders confidence in the financial statements.
Fraud Examination
A&G Consultants offers fraud examination services to companies who suspect an issue with internal fraud and need an outside expert to examine the records. This service will result in a report that can be for the internal use of the client or to be used in conjunction with an official investigation with law enforcement. A&G Consultants has a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) on staff for these investigations.
